Long Island Small Business Assistance Corp is in full compliance with….


Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 forbids organizations and employers from excluding or denying individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to receive program benefits and services. It defines the rights of individuals with disabilities to participate in, and have access to, program benefits and services.

According to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title VI does not apply to the following situations: Direct benefit programs such as Social Security. Employment, except where employment practices result in discrimination against program beneficiaries or where the purpose of the federal assistance is to provide employment.
